Leonard Burnett joined our team in June 2025 as our Director of Programs. His journey has been marked by resilience as he navigated mental health challenges and substance use disorder (SUD), ultimately transforming the trajectory of his life.
Motivated by the compassion he once received, Lenny is committed to paying it forward. As a contributing member of society with lived experience, he has earned his CRS, CPS, and Peer Forensic Advanced Level Facilitator credentials.
Beyond his work with New Leash on Life USA, he volunteers as a mentor with the Pennsylvania Prison Society, supporting individuals as they reintegrate post-incarceration. Lenny approaches life with kindness, embracing his potential while inspiring others to do the same. His purpose is clear: to make a meaningful impact on individuals seeking support within underserved communities.
